Is it illegal to have police sirens on my car?

I want to buy a ford crown Victoria and the one that am looking at still has the police siren lights on top of it but doesn't have the switch to turn it on and I was just wondering is it illegal to drive it like that even tho it still has the stickers and lights? I live in California btw

Can I buy a truck out of California and register it here?

My neighbor who is moving to idaho from california was in idaho a while back and bought a 7.3 ford 2002 diesel. He is trying to sell it now and I want to buy it from him. Is there any problem I will have registering it in california? He has it registered in idaho by the way.

Where is my water going in my car?

Ok so yesterday I was driving my car, and I decided to check my oil, transmission, and water level. All was good except my water jug was empty. So I filled it back up, I drove for about an hour and decided to check my water level again. It was empty once again, I don't know where it could be going. I checked my oil to see if it was going there but it wasn't, the oil looked normal. I filled it back up and cranked the car but I didn't see any leaks under the car or coming from the top of the motor. Where could it be going? It seems to run out while I'm driving only. It's a 1992 Ford crown Victoria by the way, Can Someone Please Help?

Break pedal hard to push AND grinding noise when braking. What is the likely problem?

Drive a Ford Mondeo 2004 Tdci.

Over the last month every so often the brake pedal would become stiff and a grinding noise could be heard when breaking. This morning it has got worse. I pushed the brake pedal which was very stiff, a grinding noise was heard and I very momentarly seemed to lose breaking power, then suddenly the pedal became ok to push again. This happened several times on the way home. Obviusly I'm not going to drive the car anymore until I have fixed the problem because it would be dangerous to do so.

I know that if a grinding noise is heard while breaking it is likely to be worn disc pads but why would the brake pedal become hard to push also? Am I right in thinking that worn disc pads would not cause the pedal to become very stiff?

I've read that the stiff brake pedal might be a result of a faulty vucumm pump, but why the grinding noise?

Although I have never changed disc pads I'm happy to attempt to change them myself as it doent look like it is too difficult a job, however I don't want to spend money on new pads and waste my time if this is not the problem.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Is this a good deal for a car?

Its a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria. I'm buying it for $1500, it has a little over 178,000 miles on it, the body is almost immaculate, seems to ride nice. Only concern is when I was test driving it, the check engine light was blinking, called the owner ti pick up the car today and he said it was misfiring, so he took it to the garage to get it fixed before I buy it from him. So is $1500 a good deal for this car? Thanks

Added (1). Owner also put the best tires on the back of the car. It also comes with 2 spare tires, THE CAR IS AN OLD POLICE INTERCEPTOR.
