Is it normal to smell raw gas all day after filling up at a station?

I have a 1995 Ford F-150 (5.0) pickup. I've been noticing these past several months that every time I get gas, I can smell a strong gas odor around the outside of my truck. Not constant, just off and on. It's not coming inside the cab, just outside.

Can gas still smell several months after a tank overflows? Because several months ago, I overfilled the tank and gas was pouring out underneath. Ever since then, I only fill my tanks to the 3/4 mark (if I wrote that right). And it hasn't happened anymore. I haven't noticed any gas dripping on the ground. I have a brand new fuel filter.

I checked the trouble codes, and none of the codes have anything to do with fuel. Mostly smog related stuff, such as a purge cannister failure etc. Which I've been told by multiple people is nothing to worry about.

Added (1). I'm not 100% sure if it smells ONLY after filling up. It's possible it smells that way all the time. I do seem to recall smelling gas even when I haven't driven anywhere for days.

Added (2). There's already $800 of work that I need done on my truck. No way can I afford to have my tank etc. Checked. No time soon that is. My truck is taking all of my money away.

Question about exhaust pipes on Ford F 150?

I'm letting neighbor use my driveway. He has Late Model Ford 150. He backs in the driveway. When he starts up his truck in the morning it sounds like a bomb going off. My question is if the truck pulls in with exhaust pipes pointed away from home will this reduce the noise some what?

2003 Ford F150 won't turn over?

2003 Ford F150 5.4 4x4. Truck ran great almost perfect was driving and just quit no signs or anything just quit. Tried to restart engine won't turn over or crank at all replaced starter nothing starter engages but engine won't roll over.
Any ideas?

Added (1). Would like to first point out starter was going bad truck would not start a couple days before that, so know starter was bad to start with which is why i was driving it because it was my wifes truck and she took my truck. I past the point of taking it to a shop i already bought her something new. I'm not that great with todays cars and trucks I stopped working on them 20 years ago. I know basic engines and battery was tested starter new cables tested. Just won't roll over

Why is my 97 ford f150 shaking after sitting idle for a while?

Why is my 97 ford f150 shaking after sitting idle for a while? - 1

Added (1). it begins to shake after being on the road for about 30 minutes or so. Seems to happen after the engine gets good and warm but it only happens when i'm idle. It shakes and stutters like its fighting to stay on
figured this may be an air leak somewhere. What else could this possibly be?

2004 new body style Ford F-150 throwing nock sensor code?

My 2005 Ford F-150 is throwing a code for a knock sensor however I'm thinking it is the transmission. Whenever I drive it it seems fine most of the time but if I flour it it will seem like it's misfiring. This is only when driving. It just now I had it in park and floured it and it did not misfire but 5 minutes ago when driving it it did when I floured it in between transmission shifts. The codes are P0325 and p0430. Anyone with a 5.4l 3v ford go through this also? Could it be my trans? Truck has a rebuilt motor which has been running fine but trans has almost 300k miles.
