I own a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT (Advanced Trac RSC) and was wondering if it has a cabin air filter? I tried looking it up and read some posts that certain Ford Explorers don't, but none mentioned any one in particular.

I have a 1997 ford explorer 4.0L V6 engine. It was misfiring so I changed the spark plugs and wires and that cleared the check engine light but it is still very shaky when running. Gets more shaky the more you rev the engine. Any ideas? We've already ruled out timing chain.
I have code P0455 and was told its the purge valve. I was quoted $330 to fix it.Im just going to fix it myself.so where is this purge valve? I think my engine is 4.0? I just need to replace this purge valve… Also, is vent control valve the same as a purge valve. Just a different name? I'm clueless, please help me.
My car is a 2005 ford explorer, and last week I let my boyfriend drive it and he was trying to spin out in it and drive fast and the gauges got high and when I parked the car I realized the engine was steaming. I haven't driven it lately because I got a new car since the back end on it was going out. But I might have to drive it tomorrow, would it be safe to?
My 1997 Ford Explorer sport has been having problems with the transmission. I have a 1999 Ford Explorer that is no longer drivable, but still has a working transmission. I was wondering if the two are interchangeable (by a good mechanic, of course)?

I love this car. The brakes are like new, and it just had an oil change about 500 miles ago. Lots of small things have also been replaced(wiper motors, window motors, door handles, typical stuff that goes bad on these cars. It has 186k miles.
The guy is asking $1995 but on Kelly blue book it's only worth 1500-1700 depending on condition, and I think it's very good.
For years I've been hearing that Fords are very unreliable, but it's 2014 and the roads are flooded with either toyotas Hondas or fords. I would really like to purchase this car but I have a kid on the way and my wife doesn't trust fords and keeps telling me to play it safe by getting a toyota bc of its reliability. I don't want to make a decision in getting this car and something going wrong and having her tell me 'I told you so'. I'm looking into the 2014 ford explorer.
I was driving my 93 ford explorer when it suddenly started sputtering. When I came 2 a red light it shut off and would not start up again. It still won't start today and its not a bad spark or misfire cuz I checked with screwdriver. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong
