Why did my car turn off while driving and smell burnt?
I was driving my 93 ford explorer when it suddenly started sputtering. When I came 2 a red light it shut off and would not start up again. It still won't start today and its not a bad spark or misfire cuz I checked with screwdriver. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong
1993 won't start is usually a defective fuel pump or one that has quit working. My 1995 Astro Vans fuel pump went out when I was on the freeway.
What about the burning smell coming from the inside of the car
I would check the fuel pump first… Have someone turn the key to ON while you listen near the tank or fuel door for a buzzing sound. If it still buzzes, then it could have too low pressure. Also check to make sure there are no foreign objects in your airflow sensor, just aft of the air filter box I believe.
Sounds like it overheated and most likely blew your head gasket.
The other likely possibility would be bad fuel pump or fuel filter
- Smell of Petrol after driving my car? After driving my car Ford Laser came home and parked in the garage and could smell petrol outside on left side of car only. Checked hoses, petrol cap etc could not see any leaks. Tightened the petrol cap went for a drive and could not smell anything after I came home. Why is this happening? Just had had a new radiator and service completed recently.
- My Ford Transit headlights turn on in off position and turn off in the on position? I'm a new driver, just passed my test. My van has some issue with the lights: namely, the lights turn off in the on position when the dash lights come on, and turn on when they are supposed to be off. This means that I'm driving at night without dash lights as I need to have the lights switched off in order for my headlights to be on. Might this be an electrical issue? Would anybody be able to give me advice and possibly know how much this costs to repair?
- Why did she honk at me while I was driving? So this lady who was driving a red Ford Fusion honked at me. Her license plates were GH6 KPR. When the light turned green, the front car moved and I wanted to keep a distance, and them she honked at me. Why? BTW, there was a shooting in that location and I was the witness, I'm just going to frame her I guess.
- Owner of 2003 ford focus, car keeps needing a jump. Last time I did when the cables came off the car shut off? The car lasted a couple of days the last time I jumped it. I believe It's just my battery but how would I know it has anything to do with my accelerator as well?
