How much would it cost to repair/replace a 2013 ford explorer hood? There's a hole in it(1 inch by 1 inch) right over the left headlight from something falling on it. There also is a couple scratches on it around the hole from the object falling on it too. I was thinking it might need to be replaced due to the hole in it but if not how much would an estimate of the cost be? If it needs to be replaced how much would that cost?
If my ford explorer (1999) with 107,000 miles on it sits for about 3 months. Then I start it up one day and travel 1200 miles how will it affect the car. Will it make it the 1200 miles and be alright?
I have a Ford Explorer 2003. I haven't had any issues until today.Although I notice that there was some fuses out or a possible electrical issue. I was driving and went to turn the corner and my car just shut off. I couldn't believe it.It was if I didn't have gas, but in reality I had more than half a tank. I was able to pull it over and start it back
up. What do you think is going on. I'm afraid to drive it.
I have a 2002 ford explorer and I had a remanufactured alternator and a battery put in also new battery ends that go on top of the battery. It started right up but shut off after 10 minutes and had to charge the battery to move it back to the driveway
The battery light was on and the level was very low.
Does anyone know what this could be or what to inspect?

It was driving fine until I got to this hotel and tried to park it then putting it in park it just died no lights or nothing would come on. Then we tried to jump it and before we put the cables on the lights came on then went back out. I didn't hear anything when I tried to start it. Then I left it sitting for a hour or so and then all lights came on but I could not get the key to turn. My gear shift is off balance some one please help me.
Hi guys I'm thinking about purchasing a used 1997 ford explorer limited for my daughters birthday, she's turning 18 in a week and I thought I'd get her a used car for her birthday. It has about 140,000 miles on it and it's priced at 3300 at a car dealership? Is it worth buying this? Has anyone ever had any troubles with this car or any troubles with ford when they went to go get their car fixed? Any input would be great, thanks!
Running out of room here. Parking wise. So, I'm considering sell one. Which would YOU get shed of? And at what price? BE nice. I don't ask bad mouthing on my choice of cars and trucks.
1. 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, 92K runs awesome exc inside and out.
2. 1994 Chrysler New Yorker, 115K runs awesome exc outside a bit work inside,
3. 1966 Ford F100 long bed. 140K runs a bit ticky tock New inside and exc out.
4. 1956 DeSoto Fireflite 4dr. 210K runs good (non Hemi--don't ask) rat rod outside rough inside.
5. 1991 Ford Explorer XLT, 4dr, 98K definite lifter tick, like new inside/out. Very reliable.
I did have it down to 4. But, daughter bought her first car and I went and could not resist the Fifth Avenue.
Added (1). ticky tock----I've identified as piston or wrist pin slap on #8. Over 40-45 mph/2000 rpm causes a tick tock. Some nice person dropped a piece of steel down the ol 472 cadillac motor while I was away from it. Fished out the chunk--damage done.
