Rear window on tailgate- opening by itself?

Ford Explorer 2002, the rear window on the tailgate keeps opening by itself. I was driving, came to a red light, stopped and the window just unlocked and opened. I pulled over- closed it and made sure it was closed tightly. Got home parked the vehicle and it did it again. Closed the window again tightly and locked all the doors using my key fibe. I then press the key fibe to unlock the window and then it makes a second click as if it's locking or unlocking again- only it can't lock or unlock because the window is now open. Not sure if that has anything to do with why the window was opening by itself but thought I'd mention it. Any ideas what could cause the window to open by itself. The only way to open the window is using the key fibe- no button or latch for it in the vehicle. Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Added (1). Sorry key FOB - not key fibe.

When does my engine need to be set at top dead center?

Ok, so i'm teaching myself to do a head gasket replacement, i have a car manual and i can find a multitude of answers on how to set the pistons on my ford explorer to top dead center however nowhere does it explain WHEN and WHY to put it at top dead center
when replacing the head gasket on my car i know do not have to remove the timing chain/belt. I have already removed the ignition coil pack (instead of distributor) and the intake manifold.
i was wondering whether it is necessary to put the piston #1 at top dead center before i remove the valve covers, rocker arms andamp; pushrods, and cylinder heads, and why it is necessary
what relevance does this procedure have? Is it safe to turn the crankshaft when the ignition coil pack and intake manifold are already taken out?

What are the symptoms of a dead AT transmission pump?

I'm looking at an older Ford Explorer on craigslist. The owner claims that they were told that the trans pump is bad. Basically, my question is if the pump goes bad, does the entire transmission go? Is the car totally un-driveable or is it bad for the transmission to drive?

Why don't they have Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango police cruisers?

They have Ford Explorer and Chevy Tahoe cruisers but no Grand Cherokee or Durango cruisers.

The Grand Cherokee and Durango twins with the Hemi V8 both make far more power than the Explorer and a little more than the Tahoe

They are also far more capable than the Explorer in terms of off-road capabilities and most likely handle better in high speed maneuvers compared to the Tahoe.

The Grand Cherokee would probably make an great police SUV, much better than the FWD biased Explorer and the truck-like Tahoe yet I have not seen a single one in existence. Why?
