How much would it cost to have someone fix the wiring in my car's headlight?

I know there's a lot of stuff wrong with my car, and I know I need to get it fixed. However, unless I win the lottery anytime soon it's not going to happen.
My cars engine has been overheating, and because of this issue the wiring for the right headlight has fused together. My car is a 1996 ford escape, if that helps any.

Buying this 2011 ford escape vs 2014 ford escape?

I'm in a lease with toyota and i have 1 more year left on the lease and i want to get out of the lease because i'm not wanting to keep the car. I found a used 2011 ford escape for 13,790. Its in great condition and only has 37,000 miles on it but again it is a 2011 car and its about to be 2016. The 2011 ford also comes with gap and the platnitum coverage of 75,000miles. I also found a 2014 ford escape for 19,990 and its used with just 9,000 miles on it. This ford comes with gap and a 100,000 mile coverage. I'm just trying to decided if i should keep looking for better deals or choose from one of these. Also i have a negative appraisal value from my current lease car which is around 4,000 but i think i can work that out or get it lowered.

Trying to get gifted car registred in my name?

One of my dads friends gave me her car (2002 ford escape). She doesn't have the title/ can't find it. I did a carfax and there's a lien on it so I'm wondering should I try to get it registered in my name or leave it alone. I've been looking on dmv.org but got no clear answers. Anyone gone through something similar?

2008 Ford escape won't start? - 1

I got a new battery for my car and it cranked up all that day but not that night. I tried to crank it up and just the dash lights came on. I got it towed into my yard and was able to get in and gets things out of it. It sat there for about a month and now nothing happens. I have to use they key to manually unlock the door and absolutely nothing happens when I try to crank it up. No lights or sounds of any kind. The unlock button doesn't even work anymore. I tried to jump start it and got nothing. I did get sparks from the battery when I plugged the cables up to the battery. Is it the battery or something else

Is a 2005-07 Mercury Mariner a good car for a high school student?

I'm a 17 year old male and I currently have a 1995 Ford F150 4WD. I love this truck but, it uses way too much gas. I also don't really need to haul or tow anything. My mom has a Ford Escape V6 4WD and I'm used to driving that. It's also been extremely reliable over the past 10 years. I'm thinking about selling the truck and getting a Mercury Mariner V6 AWD. I plan to keep it for quite a few years. I think it's a comfortable car and great for trips. Would the Mariner be a good choice for a high school/college student?

Added (1). I'm staying away from the Hybrid because I heard the battery eventually has to be replaced and that's really expensive.

Bought a recalled vehicle, now what?

I recently purchased a used 2010 ford escape from a FORD dealership with a warranty. Come to find out the vehicle has been recalled due to a power steering issue. I did see the carfax and the vehicle has had no previous accidents or anything like that. I've never purchased a vehicle from a lot before and am unsure of what is to come. I'm going to drop it off in a few days. What should I expect?

Can I fix my 2014 car to supply power after I turn off ignition?

I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue Select and when I turn off the ignition I lose power to the radio and anything plugged into the cigarette lighter ports. My 2008 Ford Escape let the radio play for 20 minutes and let things keep power/charging that were plugged in. I liked that feature and would like to see if its possible to "fix up" my newer car like that?

Does anyone else have a name for their car?

My family has a tradition of naming their cars, and I presently drive Ernie the Escape. We have had Skippy the Skylark, Delsina the Dodge Dynasty (don't ask), Iggy the Intrepid, Mable the Sable, Freda the Ford Five Hundred, and of course, last but not least, Ernie the Escape. Does anyone else do this or is it just my odd family?
