I'm planning on trading my car in for a Ford F250 and i'm not sure if it would be better for me to spend $35k on a used one with 40k-70k miles that may or may not have exactly what want or a $50k for a brand new one that is customized to my liking and havs less that 1000 miles on it. What do y'all think?

Which is the best engine for diesel engine for a ford truck. People are telling me the best one is the 7.3 because it has the less problem but someone else to me is the 6.0. Please give me an idea on which is the best selection because I'm ready to purchase a used truck in a couple of months. I know these a 6.0, 6.2, 6.7 and a 7.3. I know they stop make the 7.3 in 2003, I can still find them.
I want a truck and I've decided on a early 2000's Ford F250. The reason is because it's not as computerized/digitized as these new cars (not as much to go wrong) and I don't want to go in debt for a car.
The thing is all of the vehicles in this category are high mileage and I'm afraid that if I purchase one it won't be long before it begins having mechinical issues.
So if I purchased an early 2000's/late 90's Ford F250 with 90,000 - 110,00 miles on it how long could I expect it too last? I'm a real easy and slow driver. I'm not rough in the slightest.
I'm also not one to throw cars away. I intend to drive the vehicle I purchase until it dies or I do, so when I make my first purchase, I want one that will last me a long time.
First my brakes were dragging so i replaced the rear cailers, pads, rotors all the steel and rubber hoses in the rear And they are still locking up dragging and if i drive it long enough smoking. I need to know what what's goin on here it would be much appreciated
I need to replace the heater core in my 76 ford or at least I think from my guess it is that. When I start it in morning (even in this warm weather) the windshield will steam up and it smells like anti freeze in the cab and motor gets hot fast. That is the heater core right? And also, if it is the heater core, it's just under the passenger side dash right? Thank you very much in advance any help is greatly appreciated!
I got a 84 f250 with a 460/ 4 speed. The body is completely **** and the tires and brakes are bad. The engine and the tranny work fine tho. What would I all need to put this engine in a different style body of truck like a 6th generation ford? And about how much do you think it would cost?
