If it is on record that she had a history of anti-Trump and/or anti-Republican/pro-Democrat views before Kavanaugh's nomination, then it is more likely than she made a politically motivated false claim than if she hadn't taken a political stand before the Kavanaugh affair.

If Kavanaugh did commit the assault against Christine Ford, why didn't he claim that it was a consensual act?

In many cases of harassment, the culprit tries to claim that it was a consensual relationship. Since Kavanaugh never did so, does this indicate that he was innocent?
