My 2003 ford windstar won't start?
I would like to hear from ford, dodge, and Chevy owners on your opinions although I'm leaning more towards ford trucks. I just want to me sure I'm choosing the right truck brand, because once I choose the the brand of my first truck I'm sticking with the same brand for life.
I went to the auto store to ask but it wouldn't come up on his computer. He suggested 10w-30 so I bought a jug, but I want to double check before I put it in my car.
Hi
I'm planning to buy a small car for my parents who are 67 and 64. My father has been driving an Ford Ikon for the past 7 years and is looking for a small car with all the safety mechanism and comfortable front and back seating.
I looked into Amaze, Swift Zxi and Hyundai i10. But somehow feel Swift Zxi will be a better option.
Please. Suggest and share your experience
Next year if I do well enough in school, my parents will buy me a car max budget 8-9k. I like old cars and police cars, and I would like to do quick "easy mods" with whatever car I can get. The problem is I don't have a garage, so I can't get a **** classic that I can restore over the years. So this is my list of what I think I can get in my budget. Also I live in NY so I know the salt in winter is gonna f up an old car.
Old:
71-72 Chevelle, I think I can get a decent one for around 8k
74-87 Chevy C10, I love these trucks and I heard they're easy to work on, and cheap
And maybe a ford truck before the 70s
Modern:
A Mercury Marauder, if I can somehow find one in my budget
2004-2010 Crown Vic Police Package, my dad says we can pick one up from any police auction, I would love to mod a vic. Maybe a civ model if they police one has too many miles
2007-2009 Charger, I've seen some this low
And if I'm lucky a Dodge Magnum
Added (1). lol Nope I'm trying hard in school so I don't have to drive my grandpa's camry. I know it's a better choice but I really don't wanna drive that thing.
Added (2). American cars please, I'm not really into Japanese cars
Could anybody tell me if a person hoist could be fitted in a Ford Mondeo?
Starter or solenoid problem on 99 ford Tarus?
Added (1). i have a 1999 ford tarus, i had the starter replaced about a year ago. I went to start it a couple of day ago and nothing. When i started with the lights on they do not dim at all. If i tap on the solenoid/starter it starts. Is this a problem with the starter or the solenoid?
Yeah, I know what some of the answers are gonna be. Don't get one if you can't pay for gas. I want it for towing and it being a great winter vehicle. I will be towing a horse trailer later on and helping my family and friends with their trailer stuff. I plan on having it as long as possible. This would be my first car. I have driven a large full size SUV and a full size truck before. I don't find it intimidating and I know what they can and can't do. I can't get into smaller cars very easily because of my height and I don't feel confident in a car in case of an accident.
I have had ideas for saving money on gas like limiting how much I fill up and how much I fill it up for in a month, but I wasn't sure if it was possible for this one. I plan on not taking it for short trip in town since stop and go is bad for gas mileage. I figured that by putting in a smaller gas tank would raise mileage by less weight and fewer gallons. I don't expect it to raise much or even at all just save a little at the pump.
The Excursion I want has a V10. I tried looking for a V8 but I don't see them too often and I can't find any for sale. Gas engines only for me.
Okay so I have a Windstar that died as I was driving it but it was making a belt squealing type noise I believe it could be either the idler pully or p/s pump. The pump rotates with a little bit of pressure of course then it will get a little stiffer then spin easy again. It keeps dying after a 30 sec to a minute of running and will sequel right before it does so. Any help would be nice thank you.
