What would be a good first car for me?

Next year if I do well enough in school, my parents will buy me a car max budget 8-9k. I like old cars and police cars, and I would like to do quick "easy mods" with whatever car I can get. The problem is I don't have a garage, so I can't get a **** classic that I can restore over the years. So this is my list of what I think I can get in my budget. Also I live in NY so I know the salt in winter is gonna f up an old car.

Old:
71-72 Chevelle, I think I can get a decent one for around 8k
74-87 Chevy C10, I love these trucks and I heard they're easy to work on, and cheap
And maybe a ford truck before the 70s

Modern:
A Mercury Marauder, if I can somehow find one in my budget
2004-2010 Crown Vic Police Package, my dad says we can pick one up from any police auction, I would love to mod a vic. Maybe a civ model if they police one has too many miles
2007-2009 Charger, I've seen some this low
And if I'm lucky a Dodge Magnum

Added (1). lol Nope I'm trying hard in school so I don't have to drive my grandpa's camry. I know it's a better choice but I really don't wanna drive that thing.

Added (2). American cars please, I'm not really into Japanese cars

Anything oldish, slowish ansd cheap but in reasonable mechanical condition so you can bang it about and scratch it and it'll be cheap to insure, of course you need to pay cash for this

Crown Vic would an ideal first car, because it's easy to customize and has a powerful engine for street racing.

Toyota or Nissan

Get like a 300zx or g35. Something fun and fast. You can get these for your price

  • Would a Ford Puma be a good first car? So I really know nothing about cars, but is the Ford Puma a good car? For instance, with insurance, reliability, driving experience, fuel consumption, ect.
  • I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car?

I'm 15 and starting to think of some cars that I would want (and are possible to obtain, '67 Pontiac GTO '68 Roadrunner Hemi '70 Ford Torino '79 Firebird Formula 400 '85-'90 Camaro '67 Impala '73 Nova '78 Camaro '66 Oldsmobile Toronado So, would the value of the NSX be worth buying and fixing up? And which, if any, muscle car is the top of your list and why?
  • Would a ford fusion be a good car for a first time driver like me? This would be my first car I ever had and I don't know how to drive yet but I'm gonna take driving lesson before I even get a car PS I already have my learner permit
