I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car

So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much

You might want to check insurances prices before you get you heart set on a rolling coffin for a 16 year old.

Never put money on a car without a valid insurance quote. I think you would find the insurance is far more than you can afford.

When you become a man you will understand people are not impressed by kids with loud cars that they can't figure out how to drive intelligently. You are preparing to pay a fortune for a childish fantasy.

The right choice is the 2013 with a V6 especially if it has less miles.

Put a K&N air intake on it. It gives the car more horsepower and makes it sound badass. Scroll down to read the comments/ reviews left by people who have put one on their car:

The best website to shop for cars is AutoTrader. I found my van there:

Some company is making an air intake for closer to $100 than $400:

V8's are always louder with right exhaust than V6's.

Hi well you simply can't have fast and loud car it has to be one thing or the other as loud means it is not performing like it was intended it should.

I'd find the one with the biggest back seat for entertaining a girlfriend in.

Okay.

"My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. "

In terms of straight line speed both are going to be very close. The 3 valve 4.6L and the 3.7L V6 make about the same amount of horsepower. The 3 valve will make more torque, but the 2013 will have a six speed transmission that makes up for the torque deficit. The 2013 will have a noticeably nicer interior, and will get better fuel economy.

The 2007 GT will sound like muscle car, at least it will if you get a decent axle-back. The 2013 V6 won't have that low V8 rumble no matter what you do.

The Mustang community would appreciate it if you don't lower yourself to stereotypical d-bag behavior. I mean you're already a poseur for asking this question. It's sad when someone acts the way you presumably intend to, doubly so when it's someone who knows nothing about their own car.

Many young folks want that. Its also a good way to get self killed as nearly all young ( men especially) have self confidence that far exceeds driving ability and expierence.
data shows most accidents are caused by young me in over powered cars and having less than 2 years driving under belt. ( it has been noted that those whom exceed 2 years with no accidents or tickets! Tend to go on for an average of 20 years accident free.those having an accident within first 2 years tend to have one on average every 5 years for rest of life)
check out insurance costs before buying anything. We can change exhaust to get a bit of noise ( always good for young mens ears) the more power we have. The more likely we're to crash it.
bad weather .ice .etc will soon see if your training and driving are up to it!

You want an OLD muscle car for that. A carburetor number with a 351 or 429 cu. In engine in a Boss Mustang. Those were the years. Days when fuel cost .50gal. Now you got to deal with antipollution plumbing and detuned engines and $5.00gal for gasoline. Once you left the '70's the Mustang is not the same car anymore. It is now the Mustang II;only carrying on the name, none of the glory… And you are paying for the name.
V8 will always sound like a V8, a V6 is a 6. Totally different sound.
Besides the heads you will be turning will be those of Police or Traffic Cops that will pull you over many times for a "routine safety inspection done on the side of the road".

Yes, they are allowed to do that… That is their job.

I doubt you really want that kind of attention.
