Why is the gear selector on some cars on the floor and some on the steering wheel. Our Chevy Tahoe (we hate it with a passion lol) has a sterring wheel mounted selector and our Toyota Highlander had one on the floor. At first I thought it was big vehicle had steering wheel and small vehicles had floor shifters. They're both automatic and classified as a SUV even though the Toyota is tiny, so what gives? Do auto makers flip a coin? There has to be a rhyme or reason. My car has a floor shifter (Toyota Solara) and my sister's mustang does too. I find the shifter in the way sometimes, like when I'm trying to get coins out of the ashtray.
Haynes manuals only cover V8's and I haven't heard much good about the Chilton variety. Anyone have any good references for repairing/restoring a 68 mustang with a straight six engine? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I'm getting a 2000 ford mustang, my other car went and this one is in great shape. The steering is just tighter than any other vehicle I had, is that because it's a performance vehicle or something? It drives fine I just wasn't used to that. I barely even have to turn the wheel to take a turn, it's so sensitive too.
I own a 2005 Ford Mustang GT and I have a cold air intake on it that is I guess aftermarket and I want to know what the horsepower is of my car.
Okay I come from a wealthy family and they have gave me a couple of choices to pick from so I want to know what's the best for gas mileage how safe it is and if it won't break down a lot.

So what one is the best or if you have any ideas then comment those as well thanks.
Just bought this car from someone yesterday. Wouldn't start so we tried jumping it. Still didn't start so he tried tightening something on the battery with his hand and not using any tools or anything. Car started after that and the test drive went real smooth. So I bought the car and now tonight the theft light is flashing and when I try to start the car it just makes that click click click noise and then the service engine light pops up along with the red battery light… I'm hoping this is just because I need to tighten something on the battery, like the previous owner did yesterday before my mechanic buddy test drove it. I really know nothing about cars so don't know if this is gonna be a major problem or a quick fix.
If I put Rousch or Borla cat back and an x pipe w/ cat delete on the car will it make my car fail emissions test? I realize the cat back is most likely fine, but cat delete I would think it would not pass.
Does anyone have a 2013 or 2014 mustang? What are your thoughts on its performance, driving, comfort, features?
I was just curious
