I have a 1996 ford f150 xl v8 automatic without a tachometer. I bought a 1993 instrument cluster with a tachometer. Will it be plug and play in my truck?
I have a 1993 Ford F-150. I bought it a few months back runs great. It has two fuel tanks and because I was gonna take a long distance trip to see my brother I finally decided to use the second tank. I didn't Even think about cleaning this out before. So after the trip the Truck started sputtering and skipping a beat (for lack of better wording). Now it will not turn over. It wants to but stops right before the engine starts. I'm young and trying to learn about my vehicle. I believe it is the fuel line or something along those lines clogged. Is this an easy fix I can do myself? If so can someone direct me. Also how much would it cost to have this problem fixed in a shop?
In a Ford f150
I have a 2004 Ford F150 and I wnated to know if my alternator will hold up!
My ford f150 turns on but idles in and out. It will dim to the point of almost dying then come back to normal and repeating when i do get it warm it will die when i put it in reverse, when i pull up to a stop it dies when i put on the gas and try to take off. If I'm on a straight away and give it gas it will start to pick up then start cutting out. Then engine sounds a little off but almost fine but there it a slight squealing like from a belt but i can't tell. Any suggestions on what this might be?
I have a 99 Ford f150 xlt v6 2wd. It has kind of an east coast stance stock. I just want to drop the rear maybe 2 inches to kind of level it out with the front end. I don't want to comprise my hauling by removing a leaf spring. But is there a way I can move my leaf spring shackles to the underside of the rear end to accomplish this? Or how do I d it the right way. Again the front ensemble sits fine I just want to drop the rear about 2 inches.
I'm 14 and in the market for a barn find condition car to fix up and drive in high school. I'd like an old truck but they suck gas down and are heavy. I found a 1978 Ford F150 with an 8ft bed, 4 wheel drive, 400m motor automatic, no AC. Has stuck value no ac, tires have 1/2 tread, comes with a 351m motor too. Runs but smokes. 33 inch tires with 1/2 tread, new gas tank. Clean title. What do you think? It's only 600 bucks. How much is the average mpg?
