My car's brakes don't work in the snow?

The car is a 1998 Ford mustang. I believe it has antilock brakes. I was driving in the snow today, (it rarely snows here) and when I tried to stop, the brake pedal went straight to the floor but had a vibrating feel and slight grinding sound to it. The brakes didn't stop the car at all. Luckily, no cars were in front of me. When I got onto a clear road, the brakes worked just fine. Why does this happen?

Added (1). The pedal felt like it had no pressure in the snow. The pulsing/vibrating was from the pedal, not the actual brakes.

Exhaust for a 2.3 turbo15 mustang?

I'd like a little bit of sound on acceleration. I know it will never sound like a GT.
Which muffler would you recommend?

What do you think about adding a cold air intake? Ford sells them for the 2.3 liter. Is it worth the money?

02 Ford Mustang Won't start - battery is fine?

I have a 2002 Ford Mustang. Its been running fine, no problems. Yesterday I left the car running with my husband inside while I ran to grab something, when I returned him not realizing it was already started attempted to start the car again, and it died. And wouldn't start up again. I called a dad of my friend who is a mechanic and he said I probably shorted something, to unplug the battery and try again. (we had already tried jumping it with no luck) So as my husband was trying to untwist the battery the lights came on inside the car and we were able to start the car again. We started the car another four times yesterday and this morning no problem. Then I go to leave for work this am and it won't start. The battery is charged, the lights in the car work (although windows won't roll down) and I can hear the starter click, just the engine refuses to start up.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Its at my house and the closest mechanic is a good $200 tow truck away… Any suggestions would be So appreciated!

Varying ride quality between different makes of cars?

I own and drive a 2001 Ford Mustang GT. I frequently however get to drive a 2013 buick lacrosse. I also test drive many other different cars. What I've noticed is this. Fords seem to have a stiffer and bulky drive quality but not in a bad way it has its benefits. GM tends to have a loose smooth and easy feel to them not up tight like the ford. Chrysler has a ride quality thats a mix of the two others. What my question is is why are they so different between manufacturers?
