Manual steering when wet. ' 99 Ford Windstar Power steering pump, drive belt and belt tensioner all have less than 8000 miles on them?
Added (1). it's rainy season here in Florida and when the system gets wet I have to manhandle my steering wheel

Check for leaks or rain coming in to the engine compartment. Replace the belt. Adjust the tension.
Check to see if a splash shield is missing under the engine compartment. I'm sure your belt is getting wet.
- If my power steering pump and pulley break, is there any other parts I may have to potentially replace? Last night when I was driving, my power steering pump busted and also broke my power steering pulley. I have a 2002 ford Taurus. In the process of the pulley breaking off, the serpentine belt came off. It is still on the car so I just have to re position it once the new pulley is on. My question is through this incident, could anything else have broken? I just did a bypass pulley for the AC compressor last week. And I also replaced the serpentine belt last week.

- When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.
