Which car purchase is the smarter choice moving forward? Prius, Fusion, Malibu?

3 options:
2004 Chevy Malibu, 130k miles for $2400
2007 Ford Fusion, 115k miles for $3900
2009 Toyota Prius, 68k miles for $6800

All three cars are in good condition. Clearly the Prius is the better car, then fusion, then malibu, but I'm looking for the best choice for the money.
My budget is small, don't want to spend more than $5000 (but if its worth it then ill spend more).
Which car should I get and why? I can always turn around and sell the prius for $4000 in three years. But money is a concern right now.

I'm having problems diagnosing a P0301 code for 2010 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L 4 Cylinder?

About two weeks ago my vehicle began idling rough. It was most noticeable when reversing or at a stop light, otherwise nice and smooth on the freeway. I finally had a chance to check it out this past weekend and took it to Pepboy's and found the error code P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire). Since I had already planned on the maintenance I figured I could do the diagnosis along the way. First I replaced the spark plugs (with original Motorcraft), then I replaced EGR Valve (@ 250K it was about time)! In the process of removing the spark plugs they all looked good, no arching, tube leaks, etc.

The rough idle still continued. So I swapped the coils to check if the coil was the problem, and still nothing. Then I swapped the fuel injectors to see if the injector could be bad, and still nothing. Then I checked for air intake leaks, once using a compression test and another the old fashioned method of spraying carburetor fluid in the area to test idle, still nothing!

There isn't any smoke coming from the tail pipe as one would expect with an internal engine problem, so I don't think the rings are bad. I'm saving the engine compression test for last because it's the outcome I fear most! My thought at the moment is that the wiring to cylinder 1 could be bad, which I believe means replacing the entire harness. I know how to test the old fashion wiring, but how do I check wires for coil on boot?

Any suggestions on what my diagnosis could be? I'm going nuts here!

Need some opinions on Leasing a Car and Insurance?

Hope you enjoyed the holidays. Let's get to the story, I'm 20yrs old male currently enrolled in my third year at a university. I have an paid internship where I get approx $1500-1600 monthly. I was thinking about leasing a car and found a great deal for a 2016 Ford Fusion, fully loaded. Approx $300 per month. Although the issue I'm having is insurance. I'm currently getting quote for insurance at a rate of $380.00 under my mothers name. What must be stressed here is that I need a car because I drive ALOT. Good driver, not reckless. I can't deal with BS breakdowns and maintenance on the car every 3-4 months. So what do you guys think, not a bad deal to pay approx $700 monthly? Personally I think it's ok, yet defentltey not going to be a breeze. Lmk your opinions. Enjoy your day.

We're trading cars and moving

So I'm trading my 2004 pontiac grand prix for my relatives 2007 ford fusion. The problem is that I'm moving to Arizona (I currently live in Wisconsin) in February, but my Tags are due this week which costs $75 to renew. But since I'm trading my car with my relative for her car, I don't know what to do to save us time and money. What is the legal process? Should I switch license plates and tags? If I renew my tag in Wisconsin, does that mean I won't have to in Arizona? I'm trying to avoid having to register the new car I'm going to get twice while also not knowing what to do about my pontiac's renewal? I've tried to do some research on the DMV website, but there just isn't much there for the situation I'm in. Please, if anyone knows anything, I would greatly appreciate any help.

So essentially they all have very similar price points in terms of payments and insurance costs.

What I'm looking for is a car me and my fiance will be able to grow into over time. We will have children some time in the next 5 years (hopefully), so it would be nice to have something that would last (with proper care).

What i'm really looking for is opinions of more then one of the cars. If anyone has tried out a couple of these and has a bit of a comparison between them that would be great!
