Should I pay extra to get leather seats for my new Ford Fusion?

Is the luxury worth it?

Leather is nice. If you want, and can afford it, get it.

No, in my opinion. It's just preference for me, since leather seats tend to be a pain, especially in the summer where its 100 degrees out and the seats burn your but and legs. Also, you'll have to maintain the leather to keep it from cracking and that costs money! Stick to regular seats, forget luxury, be happy, save money/time, etc

Heu… How much extra?

Hi Only you can answer such a question.

Not really. It requires extra maintenance, and while it looks good, you end up not seeing much of it as you are sitting on it.
And it may even be a bit less comfortable, owing to the fact it tends to get hotter if you park your car in the sun.

Leather is a desirable option, and is one of the few options that will add value to your vehicle when you come to trade it in, offsetting some of the initial extra cost.
Leather is NOT harder to care for than fabric. It is much more durable than fabric and marks less easily. I was always grateful to have leather when my kids were young and regularly 'testing' the seat materials!
Make sure you are being offered 'proper' leather and not the 'man made' variety's (contradiction in terms, I know) as offered by Mercedes that are really poor.
