I'm looking to buy a used small/midsized car for the snow (4-door, not a huge SUV or truck). Does anyone have a good recommendation?

I generally like Subarus. I currently own a 2003 Subaru Forester, which unfortunately has been highly problematic and costly. I have also liked Fords in the past, but my mom owns a 2008 Ford Explorer that has also been very problematic and costly. This makes me nervous to purchase another Subaru or Ford…

I'm looking to spend between 12,000 and 14,000 on the car, and it needs to have AWD or 4WD capabilities. So far, this is my list:

Toyota RAV4 - 2011 and newer
Ford Fusion - 2012 and newer (preferred 2016)
Subaru Impreza - 2011 and newer

Has anyone owned these cars before? If so, did certain make years give anyone severe problems? Also, does anyone have any further recommendations?

2012 Ford Fusion power assist fault

For some reason my car when I start it up, says power steering assistfsult and I can't move the wheel. After restarting it a few times it seems to work.

Is it wise to take over payments on a car?

In Raleigh Nc. So I just got back from xhecking out a 2008 Ford Fusion V6 which has 150,000 miles on it, I payed about $56 jist to get there in a cab. I couldn t do it basically because I didn't have a license smh

My car is slow to accelerate. Is there anything I can do to improve it?

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion with about 60,000 miles on it. I'm not positive but I believe it has a 2.0L engine.

My car is slow to accelerate. It's annoying to drive. At green lights, minivans pass me up so I get stuck behind them going 55mph… (I frequently drive down a one-lane highway).

It is also slow going up steep hills on the highway.

I've been renting a Dodge Charger for the week and feel a lot more free on the roads. I wish my current car could accelerate like this… It obviously has a better engine.

Added (1). The vehicle health report shows everything is fine

Ford Fusion 09 will not start, battery and alternator is fine

Lately my Ford Fusion 09 will not start if it's too cold outside. To get it to start I would need to leave my keys in the start position then overtime the dashboard light will come up and work. Cranks easily. Radio and lights worked but the dashboard light would only show and airbag symbol only. Mechanic says he does not know what's wrong with it so I would need to take it to a fords dealership. He also say there might be something wrong with the dashboard since he removed it and let it warm inside and put it back and it will start again. Trying not to spend to much money but any help will do.
