Car noise when started, goes away within few minutes after I start driving?
Any one can help me? I took a short video below. Thanks!
The car is a 2002 FORD focus. The noise is there when I start the car after
it is sitting there overnight or two nights. It goes away within few minutes
after I start driving.
It sounds like a bearing failing in the serpentine belt path. At 12 years old the car is due for a replacement serpentine belt and tensioner, and the idler pulley (my top suspect) can be checked/replaced then.
However, if the timing belt has not been replaced yet it is desperately overdue and serious engine damage can result if it fails. Be sure to include timing belt replacement in the job if it is still the original.
- Why my doge chrisler sibrin 99 drive for 15 minutes and then shots off but starts after a it gets cold? I got from my sister then I put a new timin belt a new fuel pump and then I put a use distributor with everythingit started and ran very good but after tree days it shut off on me at my job so some ford guy told me it was the control mogule puta use one but still turn on for 15 minutes but dies and it will turn on for about n15 then dies need help
- My car won't start until I've waited a few minutes? I have a Ford Taurus SES and this morning I tried to start it and couldn't. I tried 3 times but it wouldn't work, the engine turned but wouldn't start. After waiting 2-3 minutes it started like normal. My battery is pretty new and is reading steadily at 13.8 volts. I don't see any problems with the connections either, no corrosion, everything looks like it's in good shape. Any thoughts?
- Bubbling/Gurgling sound a for a few seconds after car is shut off? Ok, so, I have a 2007 Ford Taurus SE. I just had to have the head gaskets replaced due to the engine overheating and blowing them, the car has been running fine since, but, now, any time I go 15 miles or more, and return home, for a few seconds after I shut off the car I can hear a Bubbling/Gurgling sound behind the glove box on the passenger side. I have read and some say it might be trapped air… Any ideas? Is this a serious problem?
- My 1996 ford ranger will not start right away after filling up with gas? I turn the key and the starter just keeps trying to catch but engine never does. I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines and sensor in the fuel tank. Spark plugs and wires, alternator, timing belt, starter and battery are all less than a year old. I don't let the gas tank get below a quarter of a tank.
