Possibly a bad coil. Bad fuel pump relay. You need to check for spark when it shuts off it is the only way to isolate the problem. That is unless you just want to throw money at it.

Its never a good idea to replace a suspected faulty ignition system component with a used part. These parts need to be new or remanufactured. The pip(pickup)sensor inside of the distributer and the ignition module are both common parts that can fail and shut the vehicle down when they get hot. Its called heatsoak.Carry the ignition module you removed and the used module you bought to Autozone and let them test both of them. The distributer can't be tested. If the vehicle is a 96 or newer model, get Autozone to scan the computer for trouble codes. If any are present, it may tell you exactly which part is faulty and causing the stalling problem. The map sensor and coil can also cause stalling when vehicle reaches operating temperature, if they're bad. When vehicle is cold, the computer doesn't rely on sensor input very much, but when it warms up the computer depends solely on sensor input for proper operation. That's why the vehicle runs fine when cold but stalls when warm.So a sensor is at fault

Fuel, fire, compression, your missing one when it won't start. Now the tough part, why?
