My car won't start until I've waited a few minutes?
I have a Ford Taurus SES and this morning I tried to start it and couldn't. I tried 3 times but it wouldn't work, the engine turned but wouldn't start. After waiting 2-3 minutes it started like normal. My battery is pretty new and is reading steadily at 13.8 volts. I don't see any problems with the connections either, no corrosion, everything looks like it's in good shape. Any thoughts?
I'm no expert, but it's likely your fuel line. Sounds as if the fuel is draining out. Then, when you try to start, it's "priming the pump," refilling the gas line. Then, after waiting and there's fuel in the line, it starts because there's fuel that's able to ignite. Look at your fuel pump and its connections.
The answer is: NEW CAR SMALL. ENJOY.

- When I start my truck my RPM's are very low (almost stalling) until I tap the gas? I'll start the truck and the RPMs will sometimes automatically go to below 1 then start dying out. I have to tap the gas quick and the RPM's will jump to around 3 then it will start the idle process. The truck runs fine otherwise I'm just concerned it might cause future problems. - After running a few minutes my clutch quites fully disengaging? I have a 93 Ford Ranger v6 5sp. I replaced the slave cylinder a few months ago, while I was at it I changed tranny fluid and the clutch. Just recently it has been acting up. At a cold start the clutch works fine, but after a 10 minutes of driving it quits fully disengaging. If I take my foot off the brake it will roll forward like it is half engaged. Any ideas what to do?
