Do ford use the same engine blocks for different size engines?

I know some car manufacturers use the same engine blocks for a 1L all the way up to 2L but obviously with different size bore holes for the pistons.

Does anybody know if ford use the same engine blocks on there new fiesta, MK7 59 plates, from 1l up to a certain size.

I look at my block which is a 1.4 and it looks rather big for a 1.4 engine.

reason i ask is i'm thinking of putting some more power behind my car, and just want to know how much block i have, and how strong it is.

Ford Fiesta 2014 excessive wheel spin with traction?

I bought the car back in June as the first owner with my packages, now the car seems to spin excessively when it's raining, when I put down my foot slightly the car still spins. Do you think the traction control is at fault.

The car is a Ford Fiesta 1.6 Automatic 104ps.

Ford Fiesta or Jaguar X Type?

I currently drive a 3dr 2012 Ford Fiesta but have a baby due very and i'm thinking that the fiesta may not be very practical in terms of size and only having 3 doors.

I have always fancied a jaguar so I've been browsing around and found that you can get 04/05 x type jags, with 30 - 40,000 miles for about £4,000.

So my question is, would it be a wise move to sell my current car for a jag, which i think could be more practical and more of a prestige car?

My car won't start when it's foggy outside?

I have a Ford Fiesta 1.3 from 2001 which i've had for just over a year and it's always started fine, but in the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to get it start when there's moisture outside. I've replaced the coil pack a few days ago and thought that it had solved the problem as we had very heavy rain and the car still started fine. But I went to it this morning(it was very foggy) and it's not starting again. I'm not sure if it could have anything to do with the battery as it seems to run down fast when i'm trying to start it. It will turn over but it just won't start and I only got two tries out of it this morning before the battery died.
I;m thinking of trying new HT leads next and probably a new battery.
Does anyone have any other ideas before I go spending more money.
