New clutch kit on Ford Fiesta 1998 still noisy?
Two days ago the local garage changed my Complete Clutch Kit Release Bearing Concentric Slave Cylinder Plate Cover on my Ford Fiesta MK4 1998 Diesel. So everything was changed because of a spring failure which resulted in unable to put it in gear. The only issue is that i get this rattling, grinding, noise only when the car is in neutral. If i press the clutch pedal or press the gas pedal the noise goes away and then to comeback when in neutral again. Apart from that it works fine. Please note i had this noise even before the clutch change, and yes the garage definitely changed the clutch kit because i was there the whole time. Your thoughts guys?
First motion shaft bearing is suspect. Your local garage mechanics are not very smart as this could have been changed for peanuts whilst the gearbox was off.
GO BACK to the shop that changed your clutch and ASK THEM!
Bad pilot bearing. Bad pressure plate. Disc not lined up. Disc installed backwards. Bad installation. Etc Etc. Call the garage and get your car towed back to them.
