2009 ford ranger air conditioning compressor clutch bolt broke, clutch fell off,?
Bolt stuck in compressor shaft. Best way to get the bolt out, or take the pulley off to get a better grip on the shaft?
My guess is that bolt loosens clockwise and that's why you broke it trying to take it off.
Do what you need to do to get hold of it, If that doesn't work use a bolt remover tool
Get the refrigerant recovered by a car AC shop. Remove the compressor. Get a puller to remove the pulley. Remove clutch bolt.
Hi so hardly surprising considering the age of the ranger. Now it is some 8 years old. The design period that ford made it to last.
BS, tell a more plausible truthful story next time if you want real help here on YA.
The clutch fell off and you need to get the pulley off? Total BS again on 2nd round!
Tow it to a shop where a real mechanic can fix it proper, not trailer baler wire rigged.
Replace the complete AC compressor.
Don't grab the shaft with pliers.

- Air conditioning won't work unless driving? I have a 2000 Ford Taurus. The air conditioning only works when I'm driving reasonably fast. I thought it was the blower motor, so I changed that but the air still does not work right. Any suggestions?
- Tstat Ford 94 Mustang: broken bolt, drilled new hole for a bolt? Replacing thermostat in my car when the bolt broke leading us to need to drill a new place for another bolt right next to the old one.
