I just put some Boyfriend Goodrich 33/10.50R15 on my 1988 Ford F-150 lifted 1 1/2". What tire pressure should I set them at I put them on myself at work and I set them to 40psi but I think that may be too high. These are my first 33s I've had on my truck
I had a ford XLT f150 with motor 4.6l
but idle terrible don't run what i do?
A friend left my interior lights on in my 92 ford f150 and it died, and Ever since I jumped it and drove home, every time I try to start it nothing happens. I've jumped it and driven it around but still immediately after I turn off my car it dies again.
I'm think about getting an early 90s f150 4x4 with a 4.9l and a 5speed. Will it be able to go 70mph or so easily? Can I still get the good milage going that fast? What is the top speed it could go comfortably without reving to high?
Would you recommend anything else?
I basically understand tire dimensions but I need a little guidance with this one -I have 22's right now, one of them got shredded up and I was gonna replace them anyway, with "regular" tires with more air space in them, since I'm carrying stuff in the back pretty frequently.
So I need to know what size I need. It's a 2005 Ford F150, and the wheels on it are 305/40/22. Thanks!
Added (1). To be clear I'm looking at wheels *and* tires, since I'd need different rims.
I picked up this truck to put miles to work and back on. Two weeks after getting it, it started doing nothing but buzzing and draining the battery as fast as I charged it. Come to find out it was a bad alternator. A couple weeks later I replaced the starter. Then the battery. Then it developed a bad miss. I replaced the wires and plugs in in it. Then the wiper switch went out so I replaced it. A couple days after that it started buzzing when I would try to start it. After a few seconds it would fire right up. I noticed that every time it does it, it seems like the battery dies for a split second because my radio resets to AM. I drove it around earlier today. Got in it a little bit ago and it did nothing but buzz and only this time it did not fire up. I'm getting dashboard lights. Radio comes on. Everything but it's just not starting. I did notice a bit of an odor though this time as I cranked it. I'm not very car knowledgeable outside of fairly simple things.
It's a 1988 Ford F150 4.9 Manual Transmission
Any ideas on where to begin?
I have a 2004 Ford F150 super cab with stock speakers. I don't wanna go through the hassle of installing subs and would like to just stick with speakers. What brand or kind of speakers should I get that produce decent bass and good quality?
I'm a 16 year old guy. I don't have any money to buy a car at the moment I'm just trying to figure out what I want first. I'm used to driving pickup trucks and SUVs. I want a 4WD truck or SUV. I want either a 1998-02 Lincoln Navigator 4WD or a 2000-03 Ford F150 Lariat 4WD (Supercrew). I have driven an F150 before an I really liked it. I can't imagine that the Navigator will handle much differently as it is based on the F150 chassis. I'm paying for it myself and there will NOT be any payments. Also, is the Navigator available with the 4.6L V8? There's no way that I'm driving some tiny car. I have an easier time driving pickups and SUVs than I do with cars. I pretty much need 4WD for deep snow.
All specs as above. 225,000 miles, just noticed today that when in gear there's a slight thumping or knocking sound. Seemed to get louder when I turned into my driveway. So I stopped, turned down my radio, and put it in first gear to try and figure it out. I moved forward and could hear the knock clearly, but by the time I can get out to look under the hood, it's gone. Oil pressure is normal, truck wasn't over heating but it was a tad bit warmer than normal (dead middle of the gauge) This is my daily driver so any suggestions would be a lifesaver.
