Good/Bad buy? 2010 f150 stx (used truck)? 44k mile?

No accidents on car fax, used to be a commercial work truck. Never towed anything. But has had shocks replaced (front) and rotors and brakes replaced(front). Those are not shown on car fax.
Took it for inspection at a pro. They said no structural damage and that the rim may be bent, it appears it ran over a median or something hard. Because of the rim hit. Should I not buy? It rides great, motor and transmission is awsome. Please advise. (they did an alignment but still pulls left) tires are 6 months old

Well it doesn't have a hitch installed and the company that owned it did a little over 6k miles a year in the DC area. So those miles are city, but it has ran over a median and had all those things repaired on it.
A certified tech had an in depth look and said all is good.

But the dealer was a big ford dealer and they said I have a 2k mile warranty bumper to bumper for 60 days (I know that's not much) but they were up front with telling me what happened to it, (as far as running over the median)

Is there anything else I can do or ask to make sure anything and anything?

It can be a bit dodgy when buying used fleet vehicles.

I was talking to a driver at my last job about how they sell the fleet vehicles. She said that at her company, they did not do oil changes on time ever, and oil often ran low enough where she had to demand more. That says a lot about how some companies maintain their vehicles. I have also seen many fleet vehicles driven extremely hard, such as flooring from a stop with a load while on a hill.

It may be a good buy, but that is up to you. I personally would want to know why a company is got rid of a 6 year old, 44k mile truck. -That seems suspicious to me if it was not leased.

Sounds like that have took care of the bulk of the problems. Ball joints and tie rods are the only other things that may mess up and it sounds as if there may be a bent tie rod since it still pulls after alignment.

I got the answer of why they are. They sold. All 8 vehicles same year/model as mine. They are selling to upgrade to newer models as the company grew. They told me that the company was up front and told the dealer that the driver ran over a median pretty hard

  • Should I buy a 1977-1979 or a newer model 2010+ Ford truck? I'm looking into getting another truck. For some reason my gut is telling me to get an older carbureted truck. Nothing beats the feeling of driving an old American 4x4 truck. But newer trucks are safer and get better mpg. Looking for some input on this decision.
  • What's a good year to buy a used 4cyl Ford Ranger for around or less than $2000? I'm in the market for a used ford ranger. I'm looking for the extended cab with a 4cyc engine. I've got less than $2000 to spend, my question is what's a good year to look for with that engine, and maybe some bad years to avoid? Btw, I live in los angeles, CA. So I'm not worried about rust, or it being to old, if it was maintained well is the main thing. I know at that price range I can't expect much.
  • Is it a good idea to buy a truck that was previously used by a gas company? The truck is a 2007 ford f150 with 233,000 miles. The asking price is $6,600 dollars. It looks like it's in excellent condition. I just don't want to put another $5,000 in repairs right after I get it.
  • 2010 Ford F-150 STX 4.6 purge valve solenoid? I notice it's time to change my purge valve solenoid when the car shuts off when stopping. No engine light comes on. I change the selonoid and it runs again for about 15k miles and it goes bad again. Do I need to change the big canister (charcoal) related to this valve selonoid? Will that fix it or what do you suggest.
