Dealer put my car tag on a loaner vehicle. Is this legal?

I took my 2015 Mustang to my Ford dealer to have them fix some issues they created, they gave me a new loaded out F150 to drive around while they are fixing my car. They removed my Cherokee Nation license plate and put it on the F150 and had me sign paperwork (I'm 17 i don't know how it's binding) and copied my DL. Is this legal? I live in Oklahoma.

It is reasonable to assume that they, being a licensed car dealer with an understanding of the vehicle code did the legal and proper thing. There's probably a temporary provision in the DOT code in Oklahoma that allows an accommodation for circumstances like this.

Don't think so
in most states the plate IDs the car and owner
if the cops run the plate on the truck they will think the truck is stolen

  • Is a face lift for a vehicle a new generation for a vehicle? I heard that in 1989 Ford Ranger received a facelift but was a new generation or just a minor update that did not change the complete model of the vehicle?
  • My neighbor towed my car with his truck. Is that legal? I live in a town home complex and I parked in the visitors parking lot for a couple of hours and my neighbor decided to take out his black monster truck and tow my car himself. Is that legal? The truck is a typical black ford monster truck. Any info would be greatly appreciated. It just doesn't seem right, can any civilian use their truck as a towing service?
  • Car Dealer RESCINDING DEAL? I bought a new Ford Mustang a month ago. A week later I received a letter from the finance manager, stating their rescinding the deal. I went personally to talk to them and they informed me not to worry. They will fix it. Its been a month and a half already and they told me they are still trying to find a finance to accept the loan agreement. Can I Just Return It? I Put 1K As Downpayment? I'm frustrated.
  • Can i ask the ford dealer to trade my car in on full value? I bought a Ford Mustang GT in mid March brand new, but i bought it automatic. I now realize that this was a huge mistake, and i want to get the same car in manual. The MSRP on the manual is about 2000 less than the automatic. I have put about 3000 miles on the car. Do you think they will give me full value for the car?
