What happens if you use the same bottle you put gas in to put water in your radiator?
I accidentally used the same bottle I put gas in to put water in my 99 Ford Explorer radiator and now it's been over heating non stop, I'm on the side of the highway now. The water comes out brown and gooey and I bought Prestone Flush+Cleaner, twice I followed the steps and it still overheats and the brown gooey stuff, oh yea and I'm not sure if this is bad but there's white smoke coming out of the exhaust
Sounds like the head gasket is gone or some other gasket in the engine. This is not caused by topping up water with the gas bottle. The Preston cleaner will have made it worse by making the hole in the gasket bigger. Look to see if there's sludge inside the oil filler cap as this will show water has been getting into the oil as well as oil into the water. You need the gasket replacing and all fluids changing As soon as possible before the engine is ruined. It probably will not be cheap.
There's nothing related to this mistake. The issue is a severely ignored cooling system that has evolved into a seriously compromised cooling system and it has rusted and contaminated everything. Water is never to be used in a car. Never ever except in an emergency and only temporarily. Sorry but the damage is done and there are no short cuts. A trained, experienced and licensed mechanic must tear this engine apart. The radiator, the hoses, the water pump, the heater core, anything and everything touched by the coolant and replace the rusted parts and clean the engine block with a proper and safe flush. The car in the photo is a 1903 Renault Type K vehicle that is still alive and operating as engineered today due to proper care, service, repair, replacement, etc. Sorry, there might be other issues as well with your car as Tom has wisely posted. There's nothing you can do. Whatever you try shall be a waste of money. It has been tried by millions of kids like you before with 100% failure rate.
RATIONAL people don't believe your story. Aside from the fact it is literally impossible to mistake a gas container for anything else, it is physically IMPOSSIBLE to have all of the symptoms you describe at one time, unless you had enough preexisting damage that you couldn't have broke down on the side of the highway, because they vehicle wouldn't have run long enough to get TO the side of the highway.
