Put water in Radiator and it comes out Oil Dipstick

Freeze plugs blew out and starter went out so i replaced everything and fired it up. I was so happy my Red 4x4 Machine was back. Went to put water in the Radiator and water started coming out of oil dipstick… What has happened when it froze last winter?

You busted the block, head or both when it froze. You need new engine.

I'm afraid Donald and Stpaulguy are right. When the "freeze plugs" pop out the odds are against the engine surviving. The block and/or head are beyond repair… It won't be just one or two cracks even.

  • Pressure testing radiator, air comes out overflow? I have a 1998 ford ranger 3.0 litre. I have a engine over heat issue and when I try to pressure test the radiator air bubbles are coming through the overflow resevior for coolant. Am I doing something wrong? Should the radiator hold pressure ( I just replaced it)?
  • What Ford vehicles with a 302 motor comes with a 4 barrel carb (and only comes 302 with a 4bc)? I have a 1989 mustang gt motor and I'm making it carbureted and I'm looking for any vehicle with a 302 that carries a 4b. I'm going to a junkyard where they don't help with finding vehicles, so it would be helpful to know what vehicles only have a 302 with a 4bc, that way I can look it up on the website and know exactly where its at.
  • Ford 300 starts smoking from oil cap after 1 minute of runtime and radiator smells like a wet fire pit? It was running fine then it started acting hard to start off and smoking a little so I figured oil. Put some more in and it straightened up for a mile or so then started acting up worse. It began to have a knocking noise like an old diesel tractor. I don't understand what it is because it starts up just fine but won't run for more than a minute before it starts pudding and knocking. Also there are tiny pieces of rust chunks in the radiator and it smells like a wet fire pit.
