You have to be careful to get the threads started right with the plug straight in the hole. A good sparkplug wrench hel[ps. With aluminum heads, it is easy to damage the threads if you get it crossthreaded. If the threads are already ruined, you will need professional help
Check the pitch of the threads or try unscrew a spark plug from the other spot and see if it fits into the current one
Re tap the threads. You may need a heli - coil if it was cross threaded.

- Serpentine belt 98 ford explorer v6 4.0 SOHC? There's a loud ticking noise coming from the serpentine belt area when I start my car. If I stand in front of the car; the noise is coming from the drivers side. It stops upon acceleration but I don't know what it is… Is the timing chain on the drivers side?
