I have a 1976 Ford F150 with a 390 engine. Can anyone tell me what the spark plug gap should be?

.035", 35 thousandths of an inch. The plugs are never pre-gapped, although they are probably close. Better to get a gapping tool and double check them.
Use a HEI module, and go.060 gap
For 76 it was 0.044

I have always found that the spark plugs come pre-gapped. It has never been an issue. It should be.035. See what you get out of the box. They should all be about the same.
- Would bad spark plug wires cause a check engine light? I just changed the valve cover gasket on my car. Then when I tried to start it, it started violently shaking and the check engine light turned on. The only thing I could think is that maybe the spark plug wires broke when I took them off. Would that cause a check engine light? It's a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 150000 miles

- 1999 ford f150 v6 rough idle and spark plug questipn? My 99 Ford f150 is a v6 and I'm having a rough idea or a miss while my foots on the brake and its in gear it idles like it wants to die. I just noticed the 3 plug wired on the passenger side were burnt so I imagine its spark knocking. But my question is what plugs should I use and is this my only problem causing the rough idle? But should I go with e3s?
