How to remove upper control arm bushing that I tapped in too far to the bracket when installing and now is too tight to pull out?
Installing upper front contol arm on my "97 Ford Explorer V8, I tapped it in too far on one side. Now, I'm unable to get the bushing out at all. Please, any suggestions?
Use a sledgehammer
Get an air hammer.
A new control arm should just bolt in place. Why are you tapping on the bushings?
- What other vehicles have the same lower control arm/ ball joint assembly as a 2004-2009 Mazda 3? Trying to find a replacement at a junk yard, so far I know about the Mazda 5 which is compatible, wondering if there are any Fords that would have the same piece. A list of make/model/year would be great.
- Just had new heads and gaskets installed on Ford Ranger 4.0, along with thermostat and radiator cap. After reaching operating temp, upper? Radiator hose swells to full capacity as if it can't handle more pressure. After engine cools off, hose returns to normal size. Should this be happening?
- ON my 94 Aspire (ford) the rack &pinion dosen't come out from the car abook said to take off the arm from eit? I have a ford aspire 1994 the rack and pinion leaks bad so I disabled it but it doesn't come out through the wheel well. Iread somthing about remove ing a arm from it to come out under the car. How do I remove A arm from the unit?
- Installing ac compressor, does it require replacing the dryer too? I removed ac compressor from 2000 ford mustang. Going to replace with new one and take it to jiffy lube for the recharge etc… Do i also need to replace the dryer as well? ALSO, when do i vacuum the system before or after installation?
