Just had new heads and gaskets installed on Ford Ranger 4.0, along with thermostat and radiator cap. After reaching operating temp, upper?
Radiator hose swells to full capacity as if it can't handle more pressure. After engine cools off, hose returns to normal size. Should this be happening?
NO!
Replace the rad cap.
- Replaced cylinder heads and head gaskets, but car is still overheating? 97 Ford Taurus, replaced the cylinder head and head gaskets. Car started fine and we let it run for a while before taking it out for a test drive. After about ten minutes the car started to overheat again, coolant came out and steam came from under hood. We also replaced the thermostat. What other possibilities are there?
- My upper radiator hose is hot and the bottom one is cold, is this a problem? I recently replaced the thermostat and new antifreeze. The top side of the radiator (upper hose area) is very hot, the opposite side (lower hose) is cold. Truck is not overheating, it has great heat, I would sweat to death if I left it on too long. 2003 Ford Ranger 4 Cyl 2.3
- After driving Ford Ranger, high mileage, 10 miles and at normal operating temp, I park overnight on level concrete floor. I check oil level? Next day before starting and when I pull dipstick out, oil level is at full mark. I wipe the dipstick clean and re-insert and check oil level again, the oil level is down about 1/8th inch or so. I check it once more and get same reading. Is the crankcase full or do I need to add some oil? Just to be clear, since this is an older Ranger with over 170,000 miles, I use high mileage oil and I check the oil level regularly. It doesn't use oil after just 10 miles of driving.

So why did she blame the second door on claustrophobia caused by Kavanaugh when she testified under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee? from = front
