How to call this in psychology?
Ho do you call the situation. Phenomenon or whatever is… Like when you have been tru a situation in your life then you star to see things that connect you to the situation that you went tru.
Per example: before you buy a car you really did not care about red color ford explorer SUV's but one day you buy one and have an accident and totaled month later it seems like you see red ford explorers everywhere you go… Another example you had a girlfriend with red hair, before you didn't care girls with red hair until you met this one then broke up and it was very hard for you to take it… Now everywhere you go it seems like the only people you see is girls with red hair that reminds you… It is like being traumatized for what happened… Does this has a word in the psychology world?
Informally, it's said you have a high level of involvement.
But I think you want the more technical term:
Frequency Illusion.
