Transmission cooling line runs through the cars radiator. Means like at leak in that line. If you find ATF in the radiator then the radiator will need to replace; or somehow fix the broken line which usually it is not modular.
Transmission gets cooled by separate tank on the side or bottom of the radiator. That tank has rusted and now mixing with water/anti freeze. Radiator needs to be replaced. Now the transmission if caught early enough needs to be flushed. If not the water/anti freeze mix will ruin the transmission and then the transmission will need to be rebuilt

- Is it ok to drive a car with a transmission fluid leak for a week before getting fixed? I have a 2007 ford ranger with only 38k miles on it, recenntly I have been having minor delays when shifting into drive from reverse before it catches and I actually move forward. So i checked my transmission fluid which seems to be pretty low a good amount below the cross hatched area. So I added more fluid and then saw some leak onto the garage floor within 30mins. I have not seen any leak before, could i still drive it before i get it fixed next week without causing more damage?
- If i put bigger rims on my car will that somehow screw up something with the car? I have a 2002 Ford Explore XLT V6 engine. It currently has the original 15' rims but i wanted to upgrade them to a 24' chrome. I been told that it will screw up the bar that connects them the wheel and after a few months the top of the wheels will move inward and that would screw everything up. Is it true? I know that the speedometer would get messed and i would have to fix that so far.
- How is the fluid from my radiator on my 1996 Ford Thunderbird mixing with my auto transmission fluid? I've asked and asked and no one seems to have an answer. Please any ideas would be helpful to give me some sort of clue as to where to start to get this fixed. The car still runs fine but its starting to effect the gears changing. Please any ideas would help.
