Car barely goes into gear and makes loud THUNK noise when catches gear?
Drove earlier around town and my car decided to rev up when i pished on the gas but BARELY moved, then a loud "thunk" sound happened, as if it just caught the next gear, and kept repeating.had to drive home at a very slow speed because of the high reving and thunking. Any idea on what it could be. I drive a 2015 Ford Escape
It's your transmission, obviously. The first step is to check the fluid level. If that's OK, you might want to add some Lucas Oil Transmission Treatment. It can really make a difference. Although it's typically more helpful in older cars. If it is still acting weird, take it to a mechanic.

When I try to start my car, it was just making a single click noise and then would eventually start after I tried a couple more times. - My car makes a tapping sound that comes and goes? The other day I was driving my car and I felt a jolt then a loud knocking sound starting coming from the top of my engine. I checked my oil and I was really low so I parked the car out oil in the car. The starts up just fine but when I driving it makes a loud knocking sound that comes and goes.
