Can a cop buy a new unmarked police package car from ford or dodge in another state?

If a full time california cop also owns a restaurant or some business in nevada or oregon, can he order a new unmarked cop car from ford or dodge and register it under his name with a nevada or oregon number plate and drive it when he is off duty?

will ford or dodge sell it to him?

Yes as long as it dosent have police marks/sinage that real cop cars have like the blue with the say ex "Green County Sheriff" and they sell it without those so its perfectly legal, but he can't make arrests on it.

Is this a serious question - buying a police car that's already been fitted out for cop that's not on duty - of course not however, if you're asking if the cop can buy the same model - well of course it's yes

Anyone anywhere who qualifies to buy a car can buy a police type car.
They can't register it in any but their won or owners name.
A car is not a police car (cruiser or whatever the local name) unless it is owned or leased by a department and used in an authorized manner by a sworn member of that department.
Locally we have a, now, former officer who had such a car and drove around in it with emergency equipment. He was fired right after he was observed by a supervisor who knew he was off duty and not authorized, saw the officer in his car.

Any one can buy a police package car.
