1971 Ford with a 360 engine. Which way does the crankshaft bolt turn?

I'm trying to take the timing cover off but I can't remember which way the bolt turns.

Lefty-loosey, righty-tighty. May have to wedge flywheel/ring-gear w/ pry-bar to keep engine from turning while breaking loose. Use long breaker-bar w/ correct size 6 point socket.

It turns CCW to loosen. Even the "backward rotating" Honda engines used right hand thread crank bolts.

Crank bolts are always tighter than God's corset. They are torqued to anywhere between about 200-300 ft lbs but embedment makes even a 500 ft-lb impact struggle with them.

Generally you just take the pulley off, the crank bolt is at about 300ftlbs
