Why does my radio not turn off, when i turn my engine off?

I have a 2004 ford explorer

Whenever i turned off the engine the radio would go off aswell, but 2 days ago, When ever i shut off the engine, the radio stays on, until i open my door. After driving it for months why did it suddenly change?

There's a setting on the radio that toggles that option - you probably accidentally toggled it (or if someone else has access to the vehicle - they might've done it).

It has a demon. Only an expert with auto electronics phd can exorcise it… But before that one time, cross your fingers, slam the car door ****, just in case you may dislodge microdirt from a switch. Then try it but it is a long shot.

My 2008 Ford will continue to provide power to the radio and power windows for about 10 minutes after turning off the key. It shuts off all power as soon as a door is opened.

That's the way it is supposed to work.

Cross your fingers, slam the car doo
