2004 Ford Explorer Fuel Tank?
Whenever I put gas in my truck, it takes me about 20 minutes to fill it. The tank keeps reading fuel after a few seconds and pump shuts off. It only takes a little gas at a time. Anyone know the problem and approximate cost to fix?
Cost to fix… FREE. Just pull the fuel pump nozzle back out of the tank by an inch or two and it should fill faster.
Some are that way. Have you pulled the nozzle out just a bit so its not jammed in the filler neck?
Yea I have done that. First thing I did. Still doesn't work
You will need to remove the filler neck with the hoses on it. You will find that there should be two hoses one inside the other you fill from the inside hose and the tank is vented through the outside hose. The problem is in one of those hoses maybe missing or a kink.
- Why is the Fuel Tank underneath the back seat inside the cabin on the Nissan Altima? Shouldn't the gas tank be located underneath on the outside of the car? Why does Nissan put it inside? Isn't that dangerous? It's like Ford Pinto all over again.
- Check engine light comes on when fuel tank is low? I have a 2000 Ford ranger that has a check engine light come on when the tank gets low, but it goes off when i fill it up. Any ideas?

My check engine light came on in my 2015 Ford Focus SE a couple days ago and I went to autozone to see what the problem was, and it said it was trouble code p1450 and it's unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum, and the solution is to replace evaporative emissions. I won't have any money to go get it fixed until Christmas, which I'm supposed to be spending in Chicago and I'm driving 6 hours. Is it safe to drive 6 hours straight and wait about a week to get this fixed?
- Why won't the gas in my fuel tank go in the carburetor? 1984 Ford F-150 302 5.0 Automatic? I have put a new fuel tank, new starter, new battery, new fuel lines, the fuse is good for the fuel tank. I have at least a 1/4 of a tank in the fuel tank, i can only get it to run if i put gas directly into the carb, it won't flow from the furl tank to the carb. What should i do? Please Help. * i meant new fuel pump, not tank.
