Would you buy a Ford Excursion?
I wouldn't buy any Ford.
No.
Nope, too big and bulky, and I think most of them have the V10 engine. A Suburban would be my choice if I wanted such a vehicle.
Nope. I like being able to park my car inside my garage…
I did buy one: last December. I love it. Its difficult to park because of its size but no worse than any full size pickup truck. Its a gas hog too but not much worse than any of the other vehicles which are viable options for a family of 8.
I have the V10 (gas) engine. It has adequate power but its certainly no race car, the thing is just too big & heavy. But it has plenty of power for everyday driving. On a road trip this summer I had no trouble maintaining 85 mph into a 30 mph headwind WITH a huge cargo box on top or doing 75mph up a steep highway in the hills in central Utah. The V10's are extremely reliable and you'll find plenty of them that make it 300,000 miles or more.
Many people will compare an excursion to a Chevy suburban. For the most part that's a fair comparison, but the excursion is the larger of the 2 vehicles and the excursion is built on a 3/4 ton platform (same chassis as an F250) whereas most suburbans are 1/2 platform (same chassis as a Silvarado 1500).
Too big for just the two of us, we'll keep our Mercury Grand Marquis.
- What will take you to buy a all electric car. What minimum range would you like? I'm looking at the Detroit car show and gm and ford are really pushing electric and self driving cars. I'm wondering how most people will pay for one of these cars.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, superior Ford Ranger? I owned a 2010 Toyota Camry and it broke down in 2011 upon reaching 0.6k miles. I treated it like a baby and it failed and disappointed me. My friend also owned a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and it failed to start in 2009 upon reaching 8k miles. And the mechanic said it was impossible to fix. However, my uncle has a 1965 Ford Falcon with over 750k miles on its clock and it still runs like new and he never even changed its oil since he bought it.
- Why would people buy a Toyota Hilux when they can buy a better, Chevrolet Colorado? Or even better and superior, Ford Ranger. My cousin is going to buy a pick-up truck next month and it would be a Toyota Hilux. How do I convince him that the Hilux is not reliable?
- If you have a judgment against you on your credit report will you still be able to buy a house? Judgment is from 2008 and it's from Ford motor credit on mileage when we turned in a leased vehicle
