Why do the Ford 20 & 30 valve sound so different from one another, if they are the same 6.8 v10 engine?
20 valve v10
30 valve v10
Ps: I think the 2v v10 has the best exhaust note EVER!
Different exhaust systems.
They aren't the same. 3 valve V10's obviously have different heads, and variable valve timing as well. The 3 valve V10's also have a different intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. There's significant differences between them, so it wouldn't stand to reason that they would sound different.
The 3 valve is the superior engine, more power, more torque, and better fuel economy.
- Why do car companies sell in different countries under different names? Why are companies like Chevrolet selling their cars under names like Holden in Australia? I'm not sure if Chevrolet sells in Australia but I do think they do. If they already sell in Australia, what's the point of selling the same thing under Holden? Another example is some Ford cars are sold under Lincoln, and Chevrolet sells the same thing under GMC. Buick and Opel? What's with this?
- Why can't Ford have the same quality as Toyota does? What are they doing wrong? I have to drive and maintain a Ford for work. Constant wiring, fuel pump relay, gaskets, water pump, and other issues. Many Toyotas are problem free other than maintenance. How does this happen?
- Is it just me or do mustangs and ford V8s in general sound deeper and different? For example if I hear a v8 mustang down the road I can immediately identify it for what it is. Or if a ford truck was revving the engine and a Chevy or dodge was to I can pick out easily which one the ford is by its deep base sound. Anyone else notice this?
- Ford Mustang v8 or 5.0, same or different? What's the difference between a regular Mustang v8/GT or the ones who have the silver 5.0 badge on the side of the car? Or are they the same? Excuse my noob questions, no mean answers. I'm new, and I wanna learn. I like these cars lol Oh and I'm talking about newer models like 2011 and up. -thanks.
