Ford Mustang v8 or 5.0, same or different?
What's the difference between a regular Mustang v8/GT or the ones who have the silver 5.0 badge on the side of the car? Or are they the same?
Excuse my noob questions, no mean answers. I'm new, and I wanna learn. I like these cars lol
Oh and I'm talking about newer models like 2011 and up. -thanks.
A 5.0 is and always has been a V8, but the base V8 mustangs (the GT's) have had other V8 size engines in them like the 4.6's in the 94-2010 mustangs
The old 302 became a 5.0 when they changed the firing order and went to a roller lift cam. Then cam the 4.6 now it's another 5.0 litre called the Coyote which is a completely new and awesome engine.
The '5.0' engine is a V-8, & all 'GT's' have a V-8. Now, the 5.0 is not the only V-8 that was in a Mustang, there's also a 4.6 V-8.
All GT's 2011 and up use the same 5.0 Coyote V8 DOHC 412 HP
You might be seeing the new Boss 5.0 with 444 HP.
- Why do car companies sell in different countries under different names? Why are companies like Chevrolet selling their cars under names like Holden in Australia? I'm not sure if Chevrolet sells in Australia but I do think they do. If they already sell in Australia, what's the point of selling the same thing under Holden? Another example is some Ford cars are sold under Lincoln, and Chevrolet sells the same thing under GMC. Buick and Opel? What's with this?
- I need to put a different engine in my 1982 Ford Ranger Lariat and I don't know what to put in it? It's the biggest engine you could get at the time in those trucks, so it is a v8, I just don't know the exact size. Since the engine is pretty much dead that's in it I was wondering if almost any v8 could go in it's place or if it has any specific engine that has to go it in. Also any good suggestion for a good engine would be great.
- How to change my Ford Sync US Frequency to different region? I have a Ford Mustang 2013 which is imported from USA. The FM frequency jumps odd decimals. Is there a way to change the region, have some adapter, or will Ford dealers help. I'm in Dubai, UAE. I just don't want to take a drastic step in replacing the radio system. Some software/hardware hack that can help fix this.
