Honda Accord or Acura TSX?

Well, my grandma and aunt are making a decision right now.
My dad today totaled my grandma's 1999 Ford Taurus so my aunt is going to sell her car (a 2002 Mercury Sable) to her (my grandma doesn't drive much, so it's fine if she has an older car) and she'll get a newer car. I've decided to look up used cars online (she's not tech savvy) and my aunt has become interested in buying a Honda product as some of my family members own them and Hondas seem to be better than Fords. So, two cars I found were a 2014 Honda Accord with a little over 9,000 miles on it and a 2013 Acura TSX with a little over 22,000 miles on it. They're about the same price and are both certified-pre-owned by our local Honda and Acura dealers, so which car is better?

CPO cars are the best of the best used cars. Either car would be a fine choice. It's just a question of which one they like best. I would go with the Accord. Your choice of course, but I'd go with the newest one. In case you weren't aware, they are both Honda's I think you will find the TSX takes premium gas. The Accord will probably get better mileage, too. The TSX will have better handling characteristics and more prestige.

I've got a 2006 Accord which is paid of this Friday. Part of me wants to run out and immediately buy a newer one, but my practical side (and my wife) tell me to wait until it starts having problems.

  • Ford Mustang GT vs Honda Accord? Ok, so this upcoming year I will be a senior. I plan on asking my parents to buy me a Ford Mustang GT (31k) or maybe just a V6 (22k) for senior year. I already have a car, which is a 2012 Honda Accord. It has has about 22k miles on it. I just wanna know if ford will last me throughout my college years and maybe when I have my own job, or should I just stick with my Honda accord. (I hear Hondas last long).
  • First Car: Ford Mustang or Honda Accord? I'm turning 16 soon and debating on getting either a 1999 Ford Mustang V6 or a 1997 Honda Accord as my first car. Please choose one and explain why.
  • 2016 Honda Accord Coupe vs 2015 Ford Mustang V6? Which one would be better for a first car? I'm Under 25 so insurance may be a problem for the mustang, I plan to keep the car until I graduate college or a year before that. I also care about looks more than speed. Also I want to know which one is cheaper to maintain since I live in the USA.
  • Is it worth paying more for an Acura than a Honda? Just curious? For example, is it worth spending about $7,000 more for a TLX than an Accord? My mom was just curious because she's considering buying either car. She was also considering the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ and she wonders, are there more differences between the Accord and TLX or between the Fusion and MKZ? She was also surprised how the MKZ actually costs more than the TLX, as she told me Japanese cars usually cost more than American ones, or they used to.
