First Car: Ford Mustang or Honda Accord?

I'm turning 16 soon and debating on getting either a 1999 Ford Mustang V6 or a 1997 Honda Accord as my first car. Please choose one and explain why.

Honda Accord is always the best option for the first car, since its one of the most p reliable cars in the world! Since this is your first car, it should be really reliable, easy in handling and maintaining. I think, Mustang requires more experienced driver. Of course, everything depends on you and you feel confident enough, then go for it!
However, everyone can find something to fall in love with when it comes to such pioneering sedan like Honda Accord. It can function as a family car, or it can be dressed up and equipped to take on the bright lights of the city streets. Silky smooth performance, technologically advanced options, and a sleek, aerodynamic body-on-frame design elevate the Accord to certain Hall of Fame status.First Car: Ford Mustang or Honda Accord - 1

Either one will work well. Be aware 1997 was the last year of the Accord before the Great Honda Automatic Transmission Debacle. From 1998-2004 Honda had horrible trouble with automatic transmission failures, so don't think a year newer would be better. The 1998s were not terrible but between 2002-2004 they sure were!

Be sure to get the car of your first choice inspected by a mechanic. If he says okay, you have a car. If not, go to the second choice.

Depends on your personality, do you like American muscle cars,(not necessarily saying the v6 is much muscle) but it's more of a muscular car or a Honda, have owned one there nice and reliable, however the mustang is too, take them both for a test drive, I'm more of an American muscle guy myself so I would go with the mustang hands down.

1997 Honda Accord because they're very durable cars and they get excellent gas mileage for it being a near midsized car, they also have better fit and finish

Mustang. Thieves love those Accords.

Honda. It is one of the easier cars to learn how to drive in. And new drivers need all the advantages they can get.

Real car vs Lawnmower? Hmm…

  • Ford Mustang GT vs Honda Accord? Ok, so this upcoming year I will be a senior. I plan on asking my parents to buy me a Ford Mustang GT (31k) or maybe just a V6 (22k) for senior year. I already have a car, which is a 2012 Honda Accord. It has has about 22k miles on it. I just wanna know if ford will last me throughout my college years and maybe when I have my own job, or should I just stick with my Honda accord. (I hear Hondas last long).
  • 2016 Honda Accord Coupe vs 2015 Ford Mustang V6? Which one would be better for a first car? I'm Under 25 so insurance may be a problem for the mustang, I plan to keep the car until I graduate college or a year before that. I also care about looks more than speed. Also I want to know which one is cheaper to maintain since I live in the USA.
  • 2002 Honda Civic or 2002 Ford Mustang as first car? I'm debating on getting a Civic with nearly 30 mpg or a Mustang with nearly 20 mpg, and I also live in Indiana where we get around a foot of snow every year.
  • Should I get Honda Accord or Ford Fusion? I can't decide between this 2 new cars, both are nice but I heard Ford Fusion has lots of options, safety and durable than Honda Accord, is this true?
