2016 Honda Accord Coupe vs 2015 Ford Mustang V6?

Which one would be better for a first car? I'm
Under 25 so insurance may be a problem for the mustang, I plan to keep the car until I graduate college or a year before that. I also care about looks more than speed. Also I want to know which one is cheaper to maintain since I live in the USA.

The honda is going to have a better track record for reliability. (In general… I don't trust Ford's reliability, though I love the mustang). The mustang definitely would have more power and be a fun ride.

The honda is going to have a much better mpg rate, which means it won't be emptying your pocket weekly for a tank of gas like the mustang.

The honda is FWD (front wheel drive) and mustang is RWD (rear wheel). For a first car, the FWD is better for winter's when there's snow on the ground. For the mustang, you'd end up wanting to buy winter rims/tires and summer/spring/fall rims and tires (that come with it).

I have a very modded 08 V6 mustang and it was my only car. It was making 360hp/300torque… I had summer slick tires, lowered, 3.73 gears, a meth kit, and the traction control was automatically shut off. That car was QUICK. When winter came (no snow on the ground), I was still driving around with summer slicks and traction control off. One night I took a turn going 90mph and the car swerved, rolled into a tree, and landed upside down. They needed the jaws of life to get me out of it. I later found out I hit black ice.

So I would get a mustang over an accord anyday. But make sure you're using appropriate tires and if you shut traction control off or do any mods… Make sure you're careful.

Since you're still in college and it will be a first car, I suggest neither of these vehicles.

Buy a used vehicle which will be:
1) less expensive to buy
2) less expensive to insure
3) won't depreciate in value as quickly as a brand new car will.

While you are Fixing Or Repairing Daily, your FORD. The Honda will be rolling along.

Go with the Honda.

The average economy car like an Accord is always going to be cheaper to maintain. As for looks, most Hondas built in the last 10 years or so have been ugly, demonstrating a lack of passion. However, since this is your first car, you might as well get something used. Your chances of getting in a crash are pretty high.

  • Ford Mustang GT vs Honda Accord? Ok, so this upcoming year I will be a senior. I plan on asking my parents to buy me a Ford Mustang GT (31k) or maybe just a V6 (22k) for senior year. I already have a car, which is a 2012 Honda Accord. It has has about 22k miles on it. I just wanna know if ford will last me throughout my college years and maybe when I have my own job, or should I just stick with my Honda accord. (I hear Hondas last long).
  • First Car: Ford Mustang or Honda Accord? I'm turning 16 soon and debating on getting either a 1999 Ford Mustang V6 or a 1997 Honda Accord as my first car. Please choose one and explain why.
  • 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback V6 or the 2015 Ford mustang 2.3L ecoboost? I'm trying to decide which of the two to get I heard online the eco boost is surprisingly a little faster then the V6 edition. it gets roughly 4 more MPG then the V6. the ecoboost will be about 1500 more then the V6 fast back lets assume its going to be my main vehicle. which one should I get and why? And which is superior? Your thoughts please. I'm not a gearhead so don't get too technical on me without using things I'll understand lol
  • Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, or Toyota Camry? I'm deciding between the ford fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda accord (all 2014). This might sound lame, but which car is 'cooler.' They're all similar in price and efficient for what I'm looking for. I don't really know much about cars so I'm afraid ill buy a grandma-like car.
