Car Running Hot and Leaking Coolant?

I drove my car about 5 miles this morning then about four miles back towards my house and i decided to stop to get food. As i waited in the drive thru i noticed my temp hand go slightly up, just a bit over half way. I drove to the gas station which is maybe a half a mile away and by time i go there it was smoking and at the orange line. I got out the car and i noticed coolant pouring out at the bottom. I replaced a radiator hose about two months ago but i'm not sure exactly what hose it was. I can only say it was located underneath and on the passenger side of the car. Any ideas on what this may be. I can't get it looked at til monday and just wanted some ideas and price ranges. Its a ford taurus by the way.

I can't see it from here in my kitchen. Have YOU looked underneath it? What year Taurus is it?

Could be a water pump leak. Or any leak that caused it to over heat when the coolant level got too low inside the engine. Once the coolant level gets too low so there's no coolant running through the cylinder heads, the engine will over heat quickly and the heads can warp causing need to pull the heads, send them to a machine shop for reconditioning and machining and then re-installed.
