Coolant leaking from strange hole under alternator, what is supposed to go there?
My 97 Ford Taurus is leaking coolant from that hole but I don't know what is supposed to connect there. 
You have a leaking water pump.
If that is the alternator, what the hell is this? As br549 said, water pump. 
Water pump is starting to go bad. That's a drain hole for water that leaks past the seals in the pump. When that goes, the bearing fails soon after. New water pump time.
Looks like a weep hole in your water pump. A drop or two is considered ok. More than that means your water pump has seen better days.
The image in the bottom in the alternator, no coolant required for that but the small hole does not look like the water pump i see for a 3.0 sohc. The other 3 engines i see listed do not look like that either.

- 2002 ford taurus coolant bubbling out of coolant tank cap? Coolant is bubbling out of the tank cap on my taurus. The coolant is a bit over the fill to line. The coolant is the normal green color. I don't think it having a bit of extra coolant in the tank is doing this. The cap itself maybe? I just bought this car and it didn't do this until today.

After long periods of driving it stalls out and has to sit for a couple hours. It has a new TPS and a new idle air control valve and just had the oil changed
- Fluid leaking from a hole in engine? I have in 04 ford mustang and there's a hole in the back left side of the engine lower to the transmission dip stick and it leaks a few drops after I turn off the car and it hits a pipe and makes a sizzling noise need some help guys is this bad?
- Ford focus strange noise when I brake? When I press the brakes there a squeeze noise kind of like a tighten sound. I think I can feel little something in the pedal too. If any one knows thanks Semper Fi.0311
