2007 Ford Taurus Check Charging System?

This happened the first time 3 weeks ago. And it happened today and I've never had a problem with anything electric or the gauges on the dashboard.
Had it tested at Auto Zone (the battery) and she said it was a bad battery. Took it back where it was purchased still under warranty and he said the battery was good.
I figured I would let my mechanic check it out but the lucky bastard went on a two week cruise two days ago.
It's only happened twice in the 3 years I've owned it. 3 weeks ago and today.
Just looking for ideas so thanks and thumbs up to all who answer… Just give me time to get back and read the answers.
01 What is it? MANY POSSIBLE CAUSES, including charging regulator fault, alternator fault, wiring fault to name just 3
02 Can I fix it myself? NO IDEA OF YOU CAPABILITIES BUT UNLIKELY IF YOU Can't EVEN WORK OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT
03 How much will it cost please? HOW MUCH DOES WHAT COST - fault unknown without inspection and testing
- What parts in an ABS braking system of a 2007 Ford Fusion is rubber or contains rubber? Must know what to buy and replace? I have a contamination of transmission fluid inside my brake fluid reservoir. I know, very bad mistake. I understand what this type of fluid will do to rubber and I need to know the parts of the system I need to buy and replace.
- 2002 ford explorer not charging? I have a 2002 ford explorer and I had a remanufactured alternator and a battery put in also new battery ends that go on top of the battery. It started right up but shut off after 10 minutes and had to charge the battery to move it back to the driveway The battery light was on and the level was very low. Does anyone know what this could be or what to inspect?
- Charging devices in a car? I usually was able to charge my phone and gps even when the car is turned off… It works on my 2004 ford car… Where as it doesn't work in other cars. Why is that. What is the universal setup in cars like.is it safe or possible to charge devices in a car even if the engine is turned off.
- 2005 Ford Freestyle .After changing the power steering line It had check traction control, check transmission display message.engine rev'd? I did some research and checked and replaced front speed sensors. It also had a broken sway bar link on passenger side which was replaced. It seems to not come out of 2nd gear. Sometimes shifts hard into Drive. Would a computer part need reset after the power steering line was replaced?
